The ABU-Garcia Superior 3000SH is a Japanese market saltwater lure reel which is a great choice for fishing with braid or light nylon. ABU have engineered the reel to cope with saltwater fishing and the use of corrosion resistant Dura-Metal for the reels body, a salt shield bearing on the inner pinion gear and a shielded carbon matrix drag all help to keep the elements at bay. The 3000SH model features a shallow spool which gives capacity for a modest amount of braid and minimal backing. It is ideal for use with PE braids or lighter nylon line. The spool is profiled to give long casts and the smooth 6.2:1 gearing makes retrieving and playing fish a doddle. The handle is finished with a lovely soft grip knob which is easy to grip even with cold wet hands.
